Scientific Session 2022! In-person & Virtual Options!

What: Scientific Session 2022

Where: 2 options:  The Marriott Hotel Uptown - 2101 Louisiana Blvd. NE  ABQ, NM or Live Via Zoom

When:  Friday, Oct. 28, 2022 and Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022

Special Dietary Needs:  NMDHA

CE Certificates:  Will be emailed to attendees approximately 14 days after Scientific Session.

Both in-person & virtual options available!

In-person:  Marriott Uptown in ABQ: 2101 Louisiana Blvd NE, ABQ.

Hot breakfast & hot lunch included for in-person attendees.

Virtual:  The "join" information will be emailed to registrants before Thursday, October 27 at noon.  The CEs will be presented live via Zoom.Speakers & attendees will be able to interact in real time (synchronous), which allows for the CEs to count as in-person CEs.In other words, the CEs will not count against the maximum number of CEs allowed in the category of online, webinar, or self-study courses.

Calling the hotel front desk will not allow you to reserve a room at the discounted fee or under the room block.

A CE Certificate is not the only way to prove attendance.

The New Mexico Board of Dental Health Care offers several options  for verification of course attendance.  Check them all out in the  Rules and Law.  "Verification of Course Attendance" can be found under General Provisions, Title 16, Chapter 5, Part 1 (16.5.1.15 F).  Familiarize yourself with the rules & law as there are changes yearly.

The NM Board of Health Care Rules and Law website has all the information you need to know about CE requirements for dental hygienist license renewal in New Mexico.  See the areas listed below for informatin on the maximum number of CE credits allowed in one triennial period in the category of online, webinars and self-study.

"Guidelines for Approval of Continuing Education" is listed under 16.5.1.15.  Section C provides information on "Allowable online, webinars, or self-study"

"Hours Required" are listed under 16.5.23.8

Familiarize yourself with the rules & law as there are changes yearly.

If you hold a current license and are unemployed or not employed in a dental hygiene related career, you can still support NMDHA by becoming a Supporting Member
